In the case of tendinosis, it is better therapy to unload the short, tight muscles that are creating strain at the attachment site. This includes massaging the whole muscle and the belly of the muscle fiber where the trigger points occur. After thoroughly massaging the muscle, massage the spot-specific site of pain with multidirectional friction for twenty to thirty seconds. Basically, that means that you press into the spot, go left and right, then up and down, and then diagonal for a short while.
